Have a question about registration, technical sessions, or conference activities? We can help! Below we have answered some of the most Frequently Asked Questions about attending RETC.


How do I register to attend RETC?

Registration for RETC will open Spring 2017. You can register online by visiting Register or manually by filling out the registration PDF and mailing the completed form to SME, 12999 E. Adam Aircraft Circle, Englewood, CO 80112, or faxing the completed form to 303.979.3461. For additional questions or to request a registration PDF form for RETC, please contact SME Customer Service at 303.948.4200 or via email at cs@smenet.org or meetings@smenet.org. To receive the lowest registration rates, SME must receive your registration form and full payment by May 4, 2017. After May 4, 2017, on-site registration fees apply.

How can I get a copy of an invoice or a receipt?

To download a copy of your registration receipt, please visit www.smenet.org, login to your SME account using your email and password, visit My Profile and view My Meetings. Click on View Registration to obtain a copy of your receipt. You may also contact SME Meetings at meetings@smenet.org or SME Customer Service at 303.948.4200 or cs@smenet.org with receipt/invoice inquiries.

If I preregister, when do I receive my badge and conference materials?

All badges and conference related materials will be distributed onsite at the RETC registration desk located at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

What does my full conference registration include?

The full conference registration fee includes a copy of the onsite program, participation in all technical sessions, access to the exhibit hall and exhibit hall social functions including opening reception, exhibit hall luncheons and the exhibit hall reception.

Are short courses and field trips included in the registration fee?

Short courses and field trips require an additional fee to attend.

What are the exhibit hall hours?

The exhibit hall is open on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm , Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

When does onsite registration open for attendees?

Onsite registration will open on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

Is there a one-day registration option for the RETC 2017?

One-day registration is unavailable for RETC.

How do I change my address or other contact information?

To edit your contact information, please visit www.smenet.org, login to your SME account using your email and password, visit My Profile and view My Contact Information. Click on Edit button next to either your address or phone number to edit your contact information. You may also contact SME Meetings at meetings@smenet.org or SME Customer Service at 303.948.4200 or cs@smenet.org with questions about updating your contact information.

What is the refund and cancellation policy for conference registration?

If circumstances require you to cancel your SME registration, you must do so in writing. Written notice must be sent to: SME Conference Registration, 12999 E. Adam Aircraft Circle, Englewood, CO 80112 or via email at cs@smenet.org or meetings@smenet.org. Cancellations received by Thursday, May 4, 2017, will receive a full refund, less a $100 processing fee. There are no refunds for no-shows and cancellations postmarked after Thursday, May 4, 2017. Registrants are responsible for cancellation of their own hotel accommodations. Substitutions will be accepted in writing at no charge until Thursday, May 4, 2017. After Thursday, May 4, 2017, a $25 fee will be charged for substitutions. NO REFUNDS for Registration, Social Function, Tour and Field Trip tickets will be issued after the Thursday, May 4, 2017 deadline.

Why should I stay at  the official conference hotel?

SME has negotiated discounted rates especially for our conference attendees and exhibiting partners. Staying within our designated hotel room block allows us to keep your registration costs low and continue to negotiate competitive room rates for all conference participants. How do I reserve housing for RETC?
Housing will open Spring 2017.

Hotel accommodations are available at the official conference hotel, Manchester Grand Hyatt. Housing reservations can be made online by visiting Hotels.
