Registration Policy

Registration Policy

SME offers several types of member and nonmember registration options. For more information about a specific type of registration, please review the information below.

Registration Policy

All attendees and authors at RETC 2019 are required to register. Nonmember authors may register at the member rate. Badges are required for admittance to the technical sessions, Exhibit Hall and social functions.

Wire Transfer Policy

If paying by wire transfer, the registrant is responsible for paying any bank fees associated with the wire transfer. When contacting your bank about the wire, you will need to request that 57A field is changed from either “Share” or “SHA” to “OUR”.  This will make all fees paid upfront by the sending party. Registrations are not considered final until full payment is received.

Student Registration Policy

Student registration for RETC 2019 must meet eligibility requirements. SME requires that an individual must be attending a college/university/higher education institute on a full-time basis to qualify for student registration rates. SME cannot process student registrations without evidence that you are a full-time student.  Students enrolled in 12 or more semester credit hours are considered full-time.

Cancellation/Substitution Policy

If circumstances require you to cancel your SME registration, you must do so in writing. Written notice must be sent to:
