The appropriate badge is required for admittance to the technical sessions and expo and will be checked at the entrance of all activities. One-day or Exhibit Hall only passes are not available.
Student registration for the 2017 RETC must meet eligibility requirements. SME requires that an individual must be attending a college/university/ higher education institute on a full-time basis to qualify for student registration rates. Student registrations may be required to provide evidence that you are a full-time student. Students enrolled in 12 or more semester credit hours are considered full-time. Acceptable confirmation includes: transcript, most recent report card, or official school registration documents. Student registrations without this documentation upon request will not be eligible for the reduced student rate.
This reduced rate is intended for those traveling with registered conference attendees and who are not involved in tunneling in any aspect. This registration includes admission to the Monday’s hosted Exhibit Hall Reception and Tuesday's Luncheon in the Exhibit Hall only. This registration does not include access to technical sessions and does not include ticketed events – those must be purchased separately.
SME reserves the right to cancel, without notice, a spouse/companion registration suspected to be for a professional and/or exhibitor.

Student Registration Policy
Student registrants for RETC 2017 must meet eligibility requirements. SME/UCA requires that an individual must be attending a college, university or institute of higher education on a full-time basis to qualify for student registration rates. SME/UCA cannot process student registrations without evidence that you are a full-time student. Students enrolled in 12 or more semester credit hours are considered full-time. When submitting your registration, please provide registration confirmation from your educational institution. Acceptable confirmation includes: transcript, most recent report card or official school registration documents. Student registration forms without this information will not be processed.
If circumstances require you to cancel your SME registration, you must do so in writing. Written notice must be sent to: SME Conference Registration, 12999 E. Adam Aircraft Circle, Englewood, CO 80112 or via email at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Cancellations received by Thursday, May 4, 2017, will receive a full refund, less a $100 processing fee. There are no refunds for no-shows and cancellations postmarked after Thursday, May 4, 2017. Registrants are responsible for cancellation of their own hotel accommodations. Substitutions will be accepted in writing at no charge until Thursday, May 4, 2017. After Thursday, May 4, 2017, a $25 fee will be charged for substitutions. NO REFUNDS for Registration, Social Function, Tour and Field Trip tickets will be issued after the Thursday, May 4, 2017 deadline.
International Delegates Letter of Invitation
SME will send a letter of invitation to paid, full registrants upon request. Invitations are intended to help international delegates raise travel funds or obtain a visa. It is not a commitment from the conference or the organizers to provide any financial support. Request for letters of invitation must include attendee name, job title, company name, mailing address (PO boxes are not acceptable), city, state/province, country, zip/postal code, phone and fax number, and beginning and end dates of travel. Also provide the address, phone and fax number of your embassy. All items must be submitted to complete a letter of invitation.
